GARDEN OF EARTHLY DELIGHTS
The Garden of Earthly Delights was an immersive theatrical event spread throughout three stories that paralleled the iconic tryptic Hieronymus Bosch painting allowing it to come to life, guided by my creative direction. As the night unfolded, ticket goers were able to explore a performative storytelling where they were inspired to participate within the earthly delights of Eden, The Garden & Hell. Set in an undisclosed location until the day of the event, participants were led through this social experiment of trust & mystery in one of Hell’s Kitchen’s famous buildings. The event immersed the audience by removing one focal center stage, & instead utilizing the entire space as a stage, from the bar, the bathrooms, the rooftop, staircases, podiums along with tables were utilized for unique shows. It pushed the audience to explore, interact & perhaps partake on a one-on-one experience. I chose the location of Hell’s Kitchen due to its old history of New York’s oldest brothels from the 1800s, which was a great fit for this showcasing of performance art.
